General Information

Beach Volleyball is the fastest growing college sport in the United States today, and first started building momentum in college in 2012 with 15 teams. In 2016, the sport became sanctioned in 2016 with 56 teams between NCAA , Junior College, and NAIA. In the last seven years, collegiate Beach Volleyball has grown to over 150 teams across the country, providing thousands of athletes with the opportunity to continue their athletic careers while earning their degrees.

Although Beach Volleyball is very similar to indoor in regards to skills, the environment is completely different. The sand is a much tougher surface to move on and other factors such as wind, weather, and sunlight come into play. Whether you are looking to commit fully to the sand or cross-train for your indoor seasons, Empire Beach is a great place for both.

This spring season we will be offering two programs; Empire Beach Academy and Empire Beach Elite.

Empire Beach Academy: This beginner / intermediate training program will be geared towards athletes who are less familiar with the sand and the sport of Beach Volleyball. The primary focus will be to introduce the game of Beach Volleyball and train the proper skills and techniques needed to be successful. However, the option to join the elite group may be available if the conditions and level of that program better suit your athlete. Sessions will take place every Tuesday and Thursday from 5 - 7 p.m. See pricing and future sessions available below.

Empire Beach Elite (by invite / availability only): This club volleyball program will closely resemble that of the indoor club scene. The expectations in this group are more demanding and commitment is expected. Training will be more intense to prepare for competition at the next level. In order to ensure a higher quality of competitive training for athletes, the spaces in the Elite group will be limited.
